A hundred candidates attended the casting of ‘Tenerife Fashion Beach Costa Adeje’ 2019

Tenerife– 16/10/2018. Nearly a hundred people attended the casting organized within the program of activities of ‘Tenerife Fashion Beach Costa Adeje’, an event organized by the Cabildo and the City Council of Adeje. This event, which celebrates its second edition this year, has as its main objective linking fashion, employment and tourism. The casting ‘Fresh Face’, which took place on the afternoon of Monday [day 15] at the Hard Rock Hotel in the municipality of Adeje, has allowed these candidates the opportunity to embark on a professional career in the world of fashion. Also, the 20 selected will have the opportunity to participate in a photo session and also becoming the face of a firm participating in the ‘New Talents’ catwalk, as well as being able to develop their professional activity on the commercial catwalk.

In addition, today will be taking place the ‘Bloggers Meeting’, where about a dozen bloggers and fashion influencers from the Canary Islands have been able to share knowledge of the sector, promoting networking with companies and the tourist destination itself.

The socioeconomic vice-president of the Cabildo, Efraín Medina, highlighted the increasing participation and interest that is being appreciated in the first acts that are taking place in ‘Tenerife Fashion Beach Costa Adeje’. “The welcoming that we are already appreciating indicates that it has been a success to be able to grow this year and expand the program of events, diversifying the offer and thus reaching a greater number of people, ranging from young people looking for an opportunity in the world of fashion, even the small business owner who wants to publicize his product, “said Medina. In addition, he recalled that the different actions of the program, which include fashion shows or commercial showrrom, will last until Saturday.

The program of activities included in ‘Tenerife Fashion Beach Costa Adeje’ continues tomorrow [day 17] with the ‘Fashion Talks’, a meeting in which local and municipal authorities, federations of entrepreneurs and designers of the new Fashion Cluster of Tenerife will exchange information for the promotion of business entrepreneurship in the world of fashion, offering help and advice to all those interested in creating and consolidating companies dedicated to the textile sector. The Costa Adeje Tourism Development Center (CDTCA) is the place chosen for this appointment.

In parallel, that same day will also take place another of the new activities of this event. This is a ‘Shooting in live’ that will consist of several photo sessions in the municipality of Adeje, where the models selected in the ‘Fresh Face’ casting can learn about the dynamics of a fashion photo shoot. The firms participating in the ‘New Talents’ catwalk will be in charge of styling, thus having a campaign image to boost the communication of their brands.

On Thursday 18, will be one of the key days of the second edition of TFBCA, as in the morning the casting of models that will parade in the great catwalk of the Duque beach of the municipality will be officially presented. Recognized top models of the national scene that will be protagonists and will also act as an active part in the promotion of the destination and the event.

In the afternoon, the first of the two footbridges of ‘Tenerife Fashion Beach Costa Adeje’ will take place, which will transform the beach of Fañabé into the ideal setting to show the trends in swimwear and sports of local fashion companies that will parade along with signatures of the program Emprendemoda Tenerife del Cabildo and invited international brands. They will show their new collections on a catwalk on the sand. The participating schools will be: Dry Dry; Lava Sport; Pi-314 and Faro Bag (Emprendemoda); Anana Wear (New Talent) and Yang Shuang and Maillot Soralla (International).

On Friday, October 19, the swimwear category will move to the catwalk located on the beach of Duque, a scenario that, after the success of the first edition, will once again become the center of trends in the sector in Europe. In this event, swimwear brands will parade in synergy with other brands specialized in accessories. The first ones to get on the catwalk will be the new talents, in a clear impulse to the entrepreneurship of creatives who intend to start in the design of swimwear. The firms Ola Olita, Ananas Wear and Milena Rodher will be the protagonists New Talents.

A show on the sand, under a unique sunset as a backdrop, which will be conducted, for the second year in a row, by the TVE model and presenter Nieves Álvarez, along with the Israeli actor, producer, businessman and influencer, Eliad Cohen.

Finally, on the 20th, there will be a commercial ‘showroom’ that will close the second edition of Tenerife ‘Fashion Beach Costa Adeje’. The companies participating in this event will have the opportunity to market their collections for the 2019 season among the business sector of Tenerife, in a clear bid to market a quality product manufactured in the Canary Islands.
