Costa Adeje is promoted as a tourist destination through fashion and climate

The beach of El Duque hosted this afternoon the celebration of ‘Tenerife Fashion Beach Costa Adeje’, an international event in which 18 swimwear and accessories fashion companies paraded

Tenerife – 10/26/2017. The beach of El Duque, located in the municipality of Adeje, has been the scene in the afternoon of today Thursday [day 26], of the celebration of ‘Tenerife Fashion Beach Costa Adeje’, where 18 swimwear and accessories fashion companies have paraded as exponents of tourism promotion through the binomial fashion and climate. In this event, which was attended by some 700 people, internationally renowned brands paraded for the first time in the country, as well as specialized media and entrepreneurs from the sector gathered.

The president of the Cabildo, Carlos Alonso, attended this promotional event accompanied by the island’s socioeconomic vice president, Efraín Medina, and the councilor for Tourism, Ermitas Moreiras, as well as the representatives of the sponsoring companies and the textile and fashion industry. The presentation of the same was carried out by model Nieves Álvarez .

Carlos Alonso said that Tenerife Fashion Beach Costa Adeje “is in line with the strategy we have set from the Cabildo to link tourism with other sectors that can generate economy, as is the case of agriculture, and now with the textile sector through two areas such as Economic Development and Tourism. ” “The binomial tourism-textile sector must go hand in hand – he said – if we want to consolidate ourselves as a quality destination”. He added that “tonight’s event has been much more than a fashion show. A promotional action where we could verify that we have a top level human capital and an incomparable framework for sure success. I have no doubt that this will be the beginning of a great friendship, where talent is put at the service of tourism promotion, economic development and employment. ”

In its first edition, ‘Tenerife Fashion Beach Costa Adeje’ has emerged as a benchmark for the latest trends in this sector and as a meeting point for experts in the field. Similarly, the ultimate goal is the tourist promotion of the island and this municipality in particular.

The participating swimwear brands were the international Melissa Odabash (USA) and Shan (Canada), who marched for the first time in Spain; Arena Negra, The knot Company, Noemí Felipe, Javier Aguilar and Lava (from Tenerife Moda), Aurelia Gil (from Gran Canaria), Elyte y Kalisy. And the complements were from Nok, By Loleiro, Roselinde and Néstor Rodríguez (from Tenerife Moda), as well as from Hammerhoj Desing, Maharani and Abraham Zambrana (Emprendemoda Tenerife).
