The photograph ‘Perfect Beauty’ was the favorite of the jury in a national contest in which 23 professionals participated with works under the theme ‘Fashion and Hairdressing’
Tenerife- 01/03/2018. Héctor Antonio Amaro García (Santa Cruz de Tenerife) is the winner of the seventh edition of the Tenerife Fashion Photography Contest, organized by the Cabildo to promote creative work linked to fashion. His Perfect Beauty photograph was chosen, out of a total of 142. One more year, the jury had it complicated. Another photograph by the same author, Mujeres al borde, came in second place.
The socioeconomic vice president of the Cabildo, Efraín Medina, recalls that the objective of this event is “to encourage the work and creativity of photography professionals so that they can have a more resource through fashion”. Medina wanted to highlight the national character of the contest that this year had 23 participants from different backgrounds, including Valencia, Zaragoza and the Basque Country.
The jury, made up of professionals from different fields, made this decision during a meeting held on Thursday afternoon [Thursday 1] at the Cabildo and after a long deliberation, given the high quality of the photographs. The finalists were Daniel Carlos Pérez Pérez (Gran Canaria) and Álvaro Sebastián Gracia Serrano (Valencia). Their photographs will participate in an exhibition at the tram stops in Tenerife and in other advertising media.
