‘Tenerife Fashion Beach Costa Adeje’, an event organized by the Cabildo (Council) of Tenerife and the Adeje City Council, today launched the catwalk that will host the latest trends in swimwear from almost thirty Canarian, national and international brands. The commercial brands were the first to make their proposals known through ten fashion shows, which have had the unique space of the surroundings of Le Club Tenerife, on the beach of Fañabé (Adeje).
The companies that have come up to the catwalk today are Miss Bikini, Yang Shuang (who has presented their designs for men and women), Anana Wear (for men), Les Compains del Mar, Lava Sport (men and women) Faro Bag, Arpione and Maillot Soralla. Some of the firms are part of the Tenerife Moda collective and Emprende Moda.
The socioeconomic vice-president of the Cabildo, Efraín Medina, has highlighted the quality of the proposals that have been seen today on the catwalk located on Fañabé beach. In the same way, he insisted that the Cabildo, with the organization of this type of events, wants to continue supporting the professional development of the companies and people who participate in these shows, in the different areas. “Therefore, we are working together with Gran Canaria to promote the development of the fashion cluster and participate in European programs, in order to consolidate the internationalization of our firms and our textile industry,” he said.
The councilor of the Presidency of Adeje, Carmen Rosa González Cabrera, indicated that “the celebration of this first commercial catwalk in Fañabé Beach offers the opportunity to meet consolidated firms and their most current works in fashion”. “For Adeje is proud to bet on the Canarian industry and host an event at the level of ‘Tenerife Fashion Beach’ where we can see Canarian firms,” she said, at the same time stressing that “the union of fashion and tourism is important , since tourists like to find that fashion shopping experience of Canarian firms and it is a very interesting opportunity for commercialization “.
During yesterday morning, the beach of Fañabé also hosted the official presentation of the casting of models that will develop their professional activity in the great catwalk of the Duque beach of the municipality, which will take place tomorrow. These are recognized top models of the national scene who will be protagonists and will also act as an active part in the promotion of the destination and the event.
The event
TFBCA is an event that unites tourism, fashion and employment and has as main objective to reinforce the image of the Island. This initiative that is celebrated in 2018 for the second consecutive year emerges as a reference of the latest trends in the fashion industry specializing in bathing and a meeting point that, in addition to being an essential appointment for outdoor catwalks, seeks the promotion of the municipality of Adeje as an ideal destination. Similarly, this meeting aims to create synergies so that the tourism and textile sectors can benefit respectively from the promotion, marketing and joint dissemination of their activities at national and international level, which will have an impact on the economic development of Tenerife .
In this new edition, more than 30 Canarian, national and international firms are responsible for presenting their new beachwear and indoor water sports collections, and will be accompanied by other brands specializing in accessories which are ascribed to the island programs of Tenerife Moda and Emprendemoda Tenerife . The shows are carried out by national and international models, as well as new faces of the sector chosen via casting.
Next dates
Tomorrow, October 19, the swimwear will move to the catwalk located on the beach of Duque, a scenario that, after the success of the first edition, will once again become the center of trends in the sector in Europe. In this event, swimwear brands will parade in synergy with other brands specialized in accessories. The first ones to get on the catwalk will be the new talents, in a clear impulse to the entrepreneurship of creatives who intend to start a career in the design of swimwear. The firms Ola Olita (together with ByLoleiro), Seco Seco, Román Peralta, Bea de la Rosa (together with Pendientera), Ananas Wear (together with Roselinde and Adereza tu Cabeza), Milena Rodher, Loca Playa and Zooo Society (together with My Sweet Alpargatas) will be the protagonists ‘New Talents’.
Subsequently, the consolidated companies affiliated to the Tenerife Moda and Emprendemoda programs will parade along with other recognized national and international brands invited to the event, which will show their trends for the next season in a spectacular walkway on the beach. On the catwalk will be present Hypertrófico, Lava, Aurelia Gil, Noemi Felipe, The Knot Company, Sedomir Rodriguez de la Sierra, Arena Negra (next to Hammerhoj Design), Miss Bikini (next to NOK), Karl Lagerfeld (next to NOK) and Entreaguas (next to Silver Point).
The international top model and presenter of channel TVE, Nieves Álvarez, along with Israeli actor, model and entrepreneur, Eliad Cohen, will be responsible for leading this unique catwalk in Europe that, at the gates of winter, allows to hold a fashion show for swimwear outdoors and with a unique sunset as a backdrop.
Finally, on the 20th, there will be a commercial ‘showroom’ that will close the second edition of Tenerife ‘Fashion Beach Costa Adeje’. The companies participating in this event will have the opportunity to market their collections for the 2019 season amongst the business sector of Tenerife, in a clear bid to publicize a quality product manufactured in the Canary Islands.

Lava Sport– The firm Lava, attached to EmprendeModa Tenerife, will show its new swimwear collection on the catwalk, which follows the inspiration of its 2019 proposal, entitled ‘Eight’. Sporty style, comfortable and lightweight clothing for water sports.
Yan Shuang– The Chinese artist and designer, Yan Shuang, presents for the first time his work in Europe with a collection of accessories for women in which their exclusive prints stand out. Colour, skin and flowers shape the new collection of handbags, shoulder bags, backpacks and purses in which their creative evolution is reflected, always with a marked respect for the environment. Nowadays and after 10 years, Yan Shuang is a brand specialized in unique pieces that are already sold in more than 200 points of the Asian continent.
Maillot Soraya– The French firm Maillot Soraya climbs the catwalk ‘Mikonos’ with her collection of beachwear 2019, in which she continues to bet on modern and attractive lines for women. Since the creation of the brand in 1994 in Saint-Tropez, famous city frequented by celebrities, the evolution of this brand has been increasing with new lines designed for the female silhouette. The current proposal impresses with its elegant style, its increasingly bright colors and its variety of accessories, including tunics, dresses and pants, as well as its famous bikinis and Push Up trikinis.
Anana Wear– The signature Anana Wear exhibits in this catwalk its new collection of intimate masculine clothes. Boxers, Italian cut and matching shirts that dress the most youthful man with color and fun. Highlighting the cheerful prints of the brand, where the world of comics and logomania are the real protagonists.
Faro Bag– The firm Faro Bag, from EmprendeModa Tenerife, presents its new 2019 collection of bags for men and women, in which reversible fabrics combinable with swimwear predominate. The proposal consists of four lines plus one capsule, which are defined in: Reflejos Line, inspired by the silver reflections left by the sun on the crests of the waves, which is why the striking colors of beach accessories predominate; Canary line in which white, blue and yellow tones predominate; Arena Line, more classic in sandy tones and Atlantic Line, with the classic color palette in which white, red and blue stand out.
Miss Bikini– The Italian brand Miss Bikini, designed by Alessandra and Francesca Piacentini, has revolutionized the concept of beachwear with the creation of collections that go beyond the classical sea or pool, and can be used in a daily basis and even at night. In each collection, the firm bets on a unique range of colors, patterns, embroideries, accessories and countless details that include pearls, shells, Swarovski crystals and sequins to give a deluxe touch to each garment.
