Tenerife – 06/13/2017. Tenerife Fashion Cabildo will be present at the Semana de la Moda de Baño (Bath Fashion Week of Gran Canaria), held from 15 to 18 June in Expomeloneras. The signatures participating will be The Knot Company, Black Arena, NOK, Oh Soleil! And Hammerhoj Design (EmprendeModa), which will share catwalk with twenty-eight designers from Gran Canaria Moda Calida and 17 national and international invited companies. The aim of this event is to create a space in which professional buyers are invited to reach the final goal of marketing.
The Cabildo’s Socioeconomic Vice President, Efraín Medina, points out that “it is an important step for our firms to travel to the neighboring island to expose and market their products. It is normal that we go hand in hand, when it comes to making the textile sector reach a prominent position in the industry. ”
On Thursday 15, at 19.00 hours, Hammerhoj Design (EmprendeModa) participates with its espadrilles on the catwalk of Como la Trucha al Trucho. It presents its collection for spring and summer of 2018, which is inspired by the colors that bathe the Canaries at that time of the year. The colors yellow mustard, acid pistachio and rocky textures walk in flat shapes with platforms and wedge heels that guarantee the comfort of the clients and the beauty that conveys a slim and stylized figure.
On Friday 16, at 16.00, The Knot Company presents its collection ‘La Rapadura’, inspired by this basaltic formation located on the coast of Acentejo. The color palette is composed of greens, blues and coral tones that draw geometric figures on the ocean floor. Likewise, all models are made with sustainable fabrics betting for comfort.
On Friday the 16th, at 17.00 hours, Arena Negra will climb the catwalk with its four collections for 2018: Oasis, Amazonas, Tropic and Bambara.
Also on Friday, but at 21.00 NOK participates with its jewelry with Nuria Gonzalez, a special collection with baroque pearls, which combines with handmade bronzes.
And on Saturday 17th, at 13.00 o’clock, Oh Soleil! presents bathing suits in which flyers and ties predominate. Likewise, it presents different techniques of embroidery, ethnic ribbons full of mirrors and metallized threads, sequins and tulles with glitter. They coordinate with matching dresses and kaftans, with pompoms, embroidery and small handmade details.
