The designer showed his new Spring-Summer 2016, based on the cultural mix of Zanzibar. Efrain Medina stressed the importance of product marketing and internationalization
Tenerife. 07/10/2015. Menswear firm Lucas Balboa, attached to Tenerife Moda collective from the Cabildo, opened in late Thursday night [9th], catwalks of the last day of the MFSHOW Men & El Corte Ingles (Madrid Fashion Show Men). He presented his new collection Spring-Summer 2016 at the premises of the NH Collection Eurobuilding (Paseo de la Castellana), Madrid, based on the cultural mix that occurred in Zanzibar when the British government took part in the colony of Tanzania, in which generated this cultural clash between the British and the zanzibarese.
In his proposals he has taken the roasted sands and ocher beaches of Zanzibar, the neutral blue of its waters, the marsala color of the local crafts. There are color blends with the African world, from subtle and elegant outlooks where raw and biscuits are paired, like blue with gray or blue with marsala, among other combinations. One can also find some very British stripes combining cobalt tones among others. A line of serene colors, non strident or pro-africanoid.
The Economic Development and Employment Counselor of the Cabildo, Efrain Medina, said the show was “very successful” and noted that “the participation of Lucas Balboa in this nationally known gateway is a boon for his business project.” In this regard, he noted that “the important thing is that it will begin marketing its spring-summer collection in important places like El Corte Ingles”.
Efrain Medina particularly stressed that “it has been worth the effort and sacrifice for textile products to help the internationalization of Tenerife. And there we are. We are a great team, and it fills me with pride, for Lucas Balboa and all those who make Tenerife Moda “.
