The vice president, Efrain Medina, announced today the VIII Young Designers Contest and V Tenerife Fashion Photography Contest.
Tenerife – 10/08/2015. The Counselor of Employment, Trade, Industry and Economic Development of the Cabildo, Efrain Medina, presented Thursday [8th], the eighth edition of Young Designers Contest, which aims to encourage the emergence of new values in fashion design and textiles; and the fifth edition of Tenerife Fashion Photography Contest, which this time will be dedicated to “fashion and sport” and its purpose is to promote the work and creativity of specialized photographers, whether professional or amateur. The deadline for submitting proposals for both events began last October 1 and will end on January 11, 2016.
Efrain Medina, who was accompanied by the managing director of Tenerife Moda, José Eugenio Sánchez, and the directors of the CIFP Las Indias, Fernando Gregorio Hernández, and the Superior School of Design Art Fernando Estévez, Javier Eloy Campos; said that “many of the participants in previous editions of both competitions have come from these two centers, and are succeeding with their work, thanks to the great preparation they receive.”
The Counselor reported that “the Young Designers Contest is part of the celebration of the Fourth Conference of Fashion, in the month of March.” He noted that “this is an event that combines innovation, quality, craftsmanship and talent. And the intention of the Corporation is to generate economic development to go together in the same direction. ”
As for the Fashion Photography Contest of Tenerife, Efraín Medina said, “as happens with Young Designers, photographers winners are also triumphing outside our borders. It is a platform to meet all those who are dedicated to graphic design; to empower and encourage them to move on. “
