The underwater world of Acentejo inspires the 2018 collection of The Know Company

An impressive underwater landscape in front of the Acentejo Coast, in the north of Tenerife, has been a source of inspiration for the 2018 men’s swimwear collection of “The Knot Company”, a brand affiliated with the Cabildo’s textile program, Tenerife Moda.

Juan Carlos Armas and Ascensión Gómez are the creators of this men’s swimwear firm that was founded six years ago. A fusion of talents, which incorporate into the market a concept of swimwear based on the quality of fabrics and comfort, perfectly matching the illustrations and the lines of the designs.

The brand is linked to the sea, as its name indicates “Knot”, which means “marine knot”, and the wonders that the depths of the ocean offers.

La Rapadura is the name of the collection that is marketed this summer. A formation submerged in the Atlantic and that at some point was on the surface that is in this northern municipality, having the name of the Organs of La Rapadura. Colossal formations of basaltic lava, which shape a magical and wonderful underwater world that was published in National Geographic in 2012, by the hand of underwater photographer Francis Pérez.

The proposal for this summer 2018 is a walk between geometric shapes of lava chiseled by the sea and time, reminiscent of the organ of a cathedral.

In addition to the line of swimsuits, The Know Company sells a whole line of accessories for men, such as bags, backpacks, bracelets and pendants in leather with lava stones, wood and metals:
