Adrián Cabrera Martín wins the first prize of the VIII Tenerife Moda Photography Contest

Adrián Cabrera Martín, from Tenerife, has been chosen as the winner of the eighth edition of the Tenerife Moda Photography Contest, organized by the Cabildo to promote creative work linked to the fashion sector. His photograph was chosen among a total of 207 images submitted to the contest. It is the circumstance that the second prize went to another image also of Adrián Martín.

The socio-economic vice-president of the Cabildo, Efraín Medina, stressed that the goal of this contest, which this year has significantly increased the number of images presented – last year, 142 photographs competed – is to “encourage the work and creativity of professionals of photography, so that they can find new ways of working through fashion, as we have been able to verify with participants in previous editions “. An increase in participation that Medina linked to the national character that, for the second year in a row, has had this event that, in this edition, has resulted in 29 participants from different backgrounds.

The jury, composed by professionals from various fields, made this decision during a meeting held on Tuesday afternoon [Tuesday, 19] at the Palacio Insular and after a long deliberation given the high quality of the photographs. The photographs selected as finalists will be part of an exhibition at the tram stops in Tenerife and other advertising media.

Medina considered that photography is a good tool to visualize the textile sector, “sector that is consolidating and is generating quality employment and development of economic activity,” added the insular manager, who also put in value that “Tenerife is positioned through the image as a natural set for all the companies that want to carry out their campaigns or editorials here “.
