The designers of Tenerife continue to be the targets of national and international publications.
In its October edition, the bimonthly national magazine “Clip”, dedicated to floral art, echoes the artist who surprised the public and the media in the last edition of the International Fashion Fair of Tenerife, Carlos Curbelo .
The Tenerife designer is, above all, a great innovator of the art of floristry, so he did not hesitate to merge fashion and floral art with his first collection presented on a catwalk. “Skin and Texture” is the title of the collection, which is composed of bridal bouquets, where the volume and the different textures, such as wood, sawdust, bark, and the wide color range inspired by nature define the proposal.
The vice-president and socioeconomic councilor of the Cabildo (Council), Efraín Medina, highlights about Curbelo “this fusion between fashion and floral art is another way of capturing the synergy between trades, and opens doors to other artists and entrepreneurs in the sector”.
Carlos Curbelo is a native of Guía de Isora and has been in this sector for more than 30 years. He was trained in Floral Art in Barcelona, having achieved the highest degree as a florist teacher. Also, the designer is responsible for managing in his municipality “Flower Easter”, a unique event in Spain, based on scenes of the Passion of Christ.
