In this edition, six finalists, previously chosen from a total of 61 new creators from different parts of the world, participated in the contest organized by the Cabildo. Leonardo Mena came in second place with his proposal Naughty Gaysha and Esteban Ecker with Avant-Garde, he won the jury prize for the most commercial collection.
The finishing touch was put by the Portuguese designer Joao Rolo, who received the title of Illustrious Visitor of the Island, and presented his Czarina collection in the world premiere, which will now travel to the Arab Emirates. During the event, the work developed by the Tenerife designer Juan Carlos Armas, who celebrates 30 years of work in the sector, was also recognized. The act began with an original proposal by the floral creator Carlos Curbelo.
