The eleventh edition of the Tenerife International Young Designers Competition, an event organized by the Cabildo and to be held on April 11 at the Santa Cruz Fairground, will live a unique show of fashion, light and sound that will endow the catwalk of the Caja Negra of an unprecedented display of trends and audiovisual effects in accordance with the event.
The competition will be conducted this year by journalists and broadcasters of Canarias Radio, María Doménech and Eugenio González, who will be responsible for presenting the six finalists who have been selected from more than 70 candidates from around the world, such as Spain, Mexico, Ethiopia, Macedonia, Argentina, Italy, Poland, the United States and the Arab Emirates, among others.
The socio-economic vice president, Efraín Medina, said that “the 11th edition of Tenerife Young Designers Competition will have on this occasion two great masters of ceremony, well-known voices of the Canary radio waves that will form a perfect duo to present, not only the proposals of the finalists , but the big surprises that are already prepared for the final gala to be a spectacle “.
María Doménech is a journalist and presenter of the TV program ‘La Alpispa’ of Canarias Radio la Autonómica. This woman, from Valencia, represents elegance on the radio waves like no other. At only one year old she moved to the Canary Islands, although her journalistic vocation led her to study Information Sciences in the Peninsula and she has been an unequivocal part of the most important events that have taken place in the Archipelago. The organization of the event has already counted on Doménech in other occasions.
Eugenio González was born in the municipality of Garachico, one of the most beautiful places in Tenerife. With a degree in Hispanic Philology and Information Sciences, he began his professional career in Cadena Cope, where he held the position of Chief Information Officer for the past eight years. He is currently a regular contributor to the program ‘Buenos días, Canarias’, on Televisión Canaria.
